Art Criticism
A man named Jackson Pollock has created an art piece that is called “Instrumental Art.” One famous piece that he made that is non-objective because it has no primary subject, instead it shows what the artist sees from what musical instruments produce. This image is rather unique from what I normally see, mainly because this art is far from my taste. Normally I do not pay attention much to art, what I see is what is man made and used in everyday life.
What I see on this art piece is rather hard to explain, not only are there many different colors spread out all over the image but I do not see any figure whatsoever. In other words I see splotches of paint being thrown on and someone called it art. Over time I look at this art I can’t analyze much from it. I do not see any figures, nor do I see anything centered in the painting. This picture has no subject so I wouldn’t be surprised that I am unable to answer these. Though what I can answer that it does have strong contrast but in no way organized or in any fashion. I do not understand the piece and not sure how would one get this result from music.
I have given this art a good time of my attention yet I am still unsure of how I feel of this piece. I see many colors but no meaning or a purpose which gives me no interest to it. But I am no professional in this field. I feel that this work was a failure but from how popular it is I’ll have to say it is a success. It appeals to the general public and it seems to give different emotion to certain groups.
